Roadside USA – DVD

I started ‘recreational’ hitch-hiking in about 1984. This was the hobby of hitching to meet people rather than achieve a certain ‘journey’. Eventually, I made the Mondo Enduro film, but my true passion was being a passenger in a stranger’s car and listening to their stories. It wasn’t until 1997 that I could recruit an accomplice, a video camera and high-quality tie-clip mikes. Thus was born Roadside USA. Clive (of Mondo) and I spent our summer holidays hitching around the States, interviewing everyone that picked us up.
